Communities of practice
Communities of practice are networks of people with similar interests and work. Their purpose is to generate knowledge and share information in order to enhance the participation of all stakeholders in the national forest programme process. In addition, members of a community of practice, usually national representatives, meet once a year to report on progress made so far with national forest programmes in their respective countries.
